Liverpool beats Man City on penalty kicks. Liverpool FC beat Manchester City on Wednesday, winning a penalty shootout 3-1 in a Guinness International Champions Cup; after the the top two teams in last season's Premier League played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the iconic Yankee Stadium in New York.     Stevan Jovetic struck a brace, either side of Jordan Henderson's crisp finish for the Reds. It was Raheem Sterling again who showed his class to finish with less than six minutes of normal time remaining. That took the game to penalties. Penalty-Kick shootout: Manchester City will shoot first. Kolarov hits his spot-kick way over the crossbar. Sturridge mimics Kolarov, putting his penalty kick over the crossbar.
