Transfer news: Mario Gotze to Liverpool FC?

Mario Gotze: Chelsea opened talks.
Chelsea have opened talks with Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to the Reds to reunite with his former boss Jurgen Klopp.
But The Sun claim the Blues have been given the green light to sign the midfielder for £35m.

Liverpool beats Man City on penalty kicks. Liverpool FC beat Manchester City on Wednesday, winning a penalty shootout 3-1 in a Guinness International Champions Cup; after the the top two teams in last season's Premier League played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the iconic Yankee Stadium in New York.     Stevan Jovetic struck a brace, either side of Jordan Henderson's crisp finish for the Reds.
